Accessible Meeting/Event Guidelines

Proper planning of meetings and events is essential for the inclusion of all. There are several things to consider in the to-do list before and during these.

Planning the meeting/event

Every meeting/event is different and each participant has different needs. These guidelines will be helpful for organizing meetings and small events.

For larger events, like conferences and summits, there will be additional considerations. The guide, Planning Inclusive and Accessible Events – A Handbook for Federal Public Servants (ODI) Internal link should be referred to when planning large events.

  • If undertaking a sole-source contract Internal link (under $40K) for accessibility services, it is required to prove that there are no alternative sources of supply for the same or equivalent support.
